I AM LAUGHING FAR HARDER THAN NECESSARY

I have a relatively short list of people who’s good opinion (or just likes on tumblr) help me feel validated as an artsy person. Right now, that list is pretty much Gretchen and Maggie, who are Viz Kids like me, Blu, who I really only sort of interact with on tumblr but she’s cool and inspiring and stuff, and also Glen, who works in the Viz office as a way cooler version of an AV nerd. He has a collection of functional(!) vintage cameras and a shitton of Coca-Cola stuff in his office and is generally nifty.

I like it when these people like things I do. :D

^ mah feels. they do this.

Harry Potter | Marauders’ Era
Bellatrix Lestrange: Seventh Year

For many people Hogwarts was a home: a wonderful place where they felt safe, and loved. Bellatrix, however, felt like she didn’t belong.

The rules, the teachers, the duties, everything seemed so useless compared to what was waiting for her in the real world. She just couldn’t wait to leave.

Roman Opałka was a French-born Polish painter who painted numbers. In 1965 he began painting a process of counting – from one to infinity. Starting in the top left-hand corner of the canvas and finishing in the bottom right-hand corner, the tiny numbers were painted in horizontal rows. As of July 2004, he had reached 5.5 million. Lion Monument by Bertel Thorvaldsen

Also known as the Lion of Lucerne, this sculpture in Lucerne, Switzerland, commemorates the Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution. Mark Twain praised the sculpture of a mortally-wounded lion as “the most mournful and moving piece of stone in the world” and Mark Twain knew what he was talking about, guys.
